Nintendo Might Remaster Yoshi’s Woolly World and Kirby Triple Deluxe For Switch

2025-11-30

Nintendo has renewed a bunch of copyrights for several key titles, which could point to further ports or remasters for Nintendo Switch. That isn’t a huge surprise given that the Switch almost has the entire Wii U library at this point. Not to mention a few key GameCube and Wii remasters and ports.

Which Games Have Had Copyright Renewals?

So, what is Nintendo cooking? Well, the following games have had copyright renewals, as seen on Reddit:

  • NES Remix
  • Rusty’s Real Deal Baseball
  • Kirby’s Triple Deluxe
  • Yoshi’s Woolly World
  • Captain Toad Treasure Tracker
  • Tomodachi Life

Of these, Captain Toad Treasure Tracker is already on Switch, as well as many of the NES titles that make up NES Remix. Tomodachi Life was supposed to launch on Switch in February 2021 but has seemingly gone missing.

As for the remaining titles, I’d argue that Kirby’s Triple Deluxe and Yoshi’s Woolly World are ripe for a Switch re-release. I’d particularly like to see Yoshi’s Wooly World, as the long-tongued hero doesn’t get as much of a look in as Kirby, and only has a single game on Switch so far.

What’s Yoshi’s Woolly World?

Yoshi’s Woolly World is a platforming game that launched back in 2015 on Nintendo Switch. It’s very similar to the recent instalment, Crafted World, but trades the papercraft visuals for a realistic wool-aesthetic.

It’s a stunning game that sees you trying to rescue Yoshis from Kamek, who is trying to turn them all into bundles of yarn. He isn’t working alone, either. Baby Bowser is calling the shots this time.

Could Kirby’s Triple Deluxe Arrive on Switch?

Yes, it seems likely. For those unaware, Kirby’s Triple Deluxe launched back in 2014 on Ninendo 3DS, and is the tenth mainline instalment in the series. Kirby has to climb the Dreamstalk, which is causing chaos in his world, to rescue King Dedede.

Other than that, it’s Kirby as you know and love it. You absorb powers, perform platforming challenges, and battle enemies that get in your way. It’s also, as you can expect, a very good-looking game.
