What If Hello Neighbor had lived up to its horror beginnings? There’s no denying that Hello Neighbor is a successful franchise. There are plenty of games, and even an animated series as testiment to its success. There’s also a sense of disappointment around the game, from many who loved it during its early Alphas. There are a few reasons for this, but one might be the increasingly goofy mood of the world. Not really what you wanted from a break-in game? Enter Creej’s Corruption.
Creej’s Corruption is a game that takes the concept of being caught in a battle of wits against a devious AI out to catch you, but strips the cartoon veneer and mascot horror to just give you the horror.
It’s A Frightening Day In The Neighborhood
In Creej’s Corruption, you explore a small town looking for your missing friend. Things aren’t as serene as the surroundings might suggest though. Something sinister is happening to the local population that’s changing their behavior in frightening ways.
If they catch you, there’s no telling what they might do.
Gameplay involves trying to complete your investigation while avoiding these dangerous, corrupted locals. The gameplay has less of a focus on object puzzles and takes a slightly more gritty approach to the formula.
We’re going to reserve judgment on what this game can offer until we’ve had a chance to get our hands on it personally, but we’re definitely interested to see how it shapes up.
