From Software Are Recruiting For Something Big

It looks like there’s a new project underway at From Software, the studio responsible for Armored Core, Dark Souls, and the wildly successful Elden Ring.

According to its own careers website, From Software is currently looking for at least twenty-four new roles across the board. There are roles in game design, programming, art, sound, sales, PR, and QA open for applications. Clearly, the studio is out to increase the size of their operation.

A New Title?

So what does this mean? We know that the Elden Ring DLC, Shadow Of The Erdtree is in development. It’s most likely much too underway for the current hires to be dedicated to that.

It seems to imply a new project.

So what new project are they hiring for? At the moment the next From Software title remains shrouded in mystery. A supposed leaker posted to 4Chan earlier this year, and documented in a Reddit thread claiming to leak a title coming early 2025.

Don’t Be Too Easily Enchanted By Spellbound Rumors

According to the leak, the game was under the working title ‘Spellbound’ and is a more magic-focused game akin to Elden Ring. It supposedly takes place in an open world around a large central dungeon.

YouTuber Ziostorm entered dialogue with the apparent leaker and collected various different sources on the supposed game, though never found anything definitive that would point to the leaks being a verifiable Fromsoft project.

With that in mind, we’d say take anything listed on those threads with a massive grain of salt.

At the moment, From are playing their cards very close to their chest. The only thing we can be reasonably sure of is that this is a sign that the company is in very good health, and that we can anticipate an exciting announcement in the future… but we might have a while to wait.
