Golf MMORPG Shot Online Is Celebrating Summer with a Month-Long Sea Treasure Event

Shot Online, the popular long-running golf MMORPG from Korean developer Webzen, has just revealed its latest summer event.

For the uninitiated, Shot Online is a 3D golfing MMORPG that sees you leveling up your character by playing rounds, completing quests, and participating in competitions.

Presented in a classic, retro style, Shot Online Golf is incredibly comprehensive as a sporting sim. It features realistic golfer movements, accurate ball physics, and all of the rules and standards employed by the PGA.

There are more than 21 courses to play in Shot Online Golf, ranging in difficulty from beginner to expert, but its appeal lies beyond its sporting credentials. It’s also a popular social platform, complete with real-time chat.

The Sea Treasure event sees you collecting dice by participating in a number of different events, and then rolling these dice on the Dice Board to earn rewards.

Once you’ve completed a full circuit, your Sea Treasure Gauge Bar will rise, which unlocks Sea Treasure Rewards such as G2 Reinforcement Tickets, Blessed Legend Fabric Piece Pouch +100, Legend Change Ember, [Sealed] Special Enhancement Stone, Legend Change Hammer, and more.

To gather dice, all you need to do is log in to the game and accrue Cumulative Attendance, visit NPC Melias on weekend days for the Weekend Dice Giveaway, consume Normal Runes in the Item Consume Event, and craft as many dice as you like using the Item Recipe System.

Plus, a separate Holecount Event will let you earn dice as rewards for scoring a certain number of Birdies on all courses, and you can take part in a Putting Minigame to get your hands on even more dice.

The Sea Treasure event, which is set to run from July 24th until August 27th, is the centerpiece of a planned summer of events hosted by the Shot Online team.
