What’s Bonnie to do when there are no ingredients left? Apparently, the only solution is to kill the residents of the town. Adorable baker by day, and a terrifying serial killer by night. Bonnie slips on a rabbit mask and steps out with a hammer to procure ‘fresh’ stock for her beloved bakery.

Bonnie’s Bakery is part restaurant-sim, part horror – which is right up my alley, to be honest. It’s your job to serve customers, bake goods, and maintain an overall positive relationship with your customers. With the bakery garnering a ton of success as of late, it’s no wonder Bonnie is desperate to keep her stock intake up! Don’t let the pink hues and charming graphics deceive you.

Looks Can Be Deceiving.

I’m instantly reminded of Doki Doki Literature Club. While it’s not the same game at all, they both share the happy-go-lucky visual appeal with extremely dark undertones. One quick look at Bonnie’s Bakery, and you expect it to be a relaxing business tycoon game. With Doki Doki Literature Club initially seemed to be a fun visual novel with likable anime characters. Remember to never trust a book by its cover…

To conclude, I reckon you should give it a shot! There’s something quite appealing about a game that isn’t quite what it seems on the surface. Plus, it won a GDEX 2023 award for being the Most Innovative Game of 2023, so what are you waiting for? It’s time to get baking!
