Stardew Valley Too Tame? Fight Bears In Farmer’s Life

2025-11-30

Ever wanted a slightly less idealized vision of farm life from the likes of Stardew Valley or Harvest Moon? Ever wanted to fish with dynamite, go on moonshine benders, and ride around on a pig? If the answer to either of these is ‘Yes’, then the full release of Farmer’s Life is good news for you.

Farmer’s Life is a farming sim with the same vibe of rusty surfaces and goofy physics as games like The Long Drive and The Slaverian Trucker.

It’s Like Stardew Valley, But You’re Playing As Shane In Eastern Europe

You take on the role of Kasimir, a washed-up alcoholic living on a similarly washed-up farm in a village in Eastern Europe. Kasimir is a veteran with a fair share of his own demons, but maybe with your help, he can turn his life around.

It’s up to you to turn his junk-covered patch of land into a successful farm, but it won’t be easy. Kasimir only has the most basic of equipment.

You also need to take care of the farmer’s health. Kasimir needs to eat and drink to stay healthy. He also suffers if exposed to extreme temperatures for too long, or if you push him too hard.

The farm itself has tons of things to keep our hero occupied. Animals need to be cared for, soil plowed, and crops tended to.

Make Friends With The Livestock And Enemies Of The Wildlife

The local area also offers plenty of opportunities for fun and profit. There are berries to forage, and game to hunt. Watch out for the bear. You can even toss an explosive into the lake and see what happens.

There there’s the people of Zalesie, Kasimir’s village. You can cultivate a good relationship with these people, and improve the lives of everyone. Maybe Kasimir will even find love. If not, he’s always got his best bud Fluffy The Pig to share the farm with.

Sound like your kind of thing? You can check out Farmer’s Life now for PC via Steam.
