My Time At Sandrock Release Date Revealed!

2025-11-29

My Time At Sandrock release date is confirmed, and it’s very nearly here. The official Twitter just set the date! November 2nd will see the building RPG officially leave Early Access.

The game is a sequel to the highly successful My Time At Portia, and carries its torch to a whole new place.

My Time At Portia came out in 2019 and revolutionized the genre of ‘setting up your house and trade in a town of colorful characters’ by letting you challenge them to a street fight at almost any time. I liked to fist-fight Higgins at every town meeting just so everyone else in town knew who the top dog builder was.

It might have done a few other things too, like give you a wide 3D world to explore and included story dungeons and a range of wildlife to meet, but I mostly think about kicking Higgins around the square and stealing his ingots.

A New Wild Frontier

My Time At Sandrock introduces you to a new corner of the world. Sanrock is a dry, dusty place where the tenacious locals built a thriving town in the desert, amid towering ruins of yesteryear.

Both My Time At Sandrock and My Time At Portia take place in a post-apocalyptic world, though don’t expect to be tearing around the wastelands in a spiky dune buggy with a bucket on your head.

The world of the My Time At games are a more settled post-apocalypse, 330 years after a terrible event known as the Day Of Calamity. The world marches on. Towns and civilization exist, but the remnants of the old world still loom large.

Monsters still roam the wilds, and carrying a weapon once you’re outside of town is a good idea. In Sandrock, there’s even more trouble, as the bandit Logan and his gang of outlaws run riot, in spite of the work of the town’s sheriff, Justice, and superhero wannabe superhero Pen.

Build Your Reputation

You take on the role of a Builder, charged with creating solutions for Sandrock’s problems. It’s not as easy as fitting things together. You need to scavenge for the right materials, and fulfil orders on time. Sometimes, slacking off on important orders has a big impact.

The builder is more than just a crafter too. You might get your hands dirty in the service of the town. You can explore the ruins of the extinct civilization and search for valuable artifacts left behind to use in your projects. The area around town stretches wide, with lots of places to explore.

In between building projects and delving into the old world, you meet the residents of the town, form friendships, forge romantic bonds, and convince animals to like you. Don’t forget to put the residents you don’t like in their place, too.
